The biggest reason this could happen is if you name your directory blahblahblah.flac instead of blahblahblah.flac16 - the system will think the directory is actually a file.

Hey, same problem here. Should the directory be named blahblah.flac16 or blahblah.flac.16? I believe I've seen he later too.
